MARKETING STRATEGY AND GO-TO-MARKET ADVISORY

Anyone can write you a marketing strategy. Even Claude. You, however, have had to live with it: the budget, the board, the launch that slipped. The difference shows up in what the plan assumes, and in whether your team and business can execute on it.

Why marketing advisory

GET EXPERIENCE, NOT WORDS ON A SLIDE

A strategy arrives. It names a segment, states a position, and puts three pillars on a slide. Everyone nods. Six months later nothing has changed.

The reason is usually the same. The people who wrote it have never had to live with one. Nobody on that team has taken a marketing budget through a board, briefed an agency that underdelivered, or had messaging sent back by legal three times.

That gap shows up twice. First in what the plan assumes: a channel mix that needs budget nobody approved, messaging that will not survive review, personas that came out of a workshop rather than a customer conversation. Then in what happens to the plan, because the same inexperience means nobody translated it into what your team does on Monday.

Engagement scope

FROM STRATEGY TO EXECUTION

An engagement can stop at the strategy, or run through into putting it into the business. Most run through both, in that order, and you decide which at handover rather than when you sign.

Strategy

The thinking, grounded in work we have run ourselves.

  • Positioning and narrative
  • Segmentation and ICP definition
  • Go-to-market strategy for a launch or a new market
  • Pricing and commercial model input
  • Competitive analysis
  • Market entry planning, including what the regulation permits you to say in each jurisdiction

A decision and a plan with owners against it, arrived at with your team in the room rather than delivered to them.

Executional excellence

The plan, put into the business.

  • Messaging architecture rolled out across channels
  • Campaign and channel planning
  • Marketing operations, the reporting and attribution a board can act on
  • Agency and freelancer selection and management
  • Team structure and hiring input
  • Localisation done properly rather than translated

The work running, with your people able to keep it running after we leave.

How we work

OUR ENGAGEMENT FRAMEWORK

It starts with a free briefing call, and nothing is charged until you have seen a scope and a price. Ninety days after the engagement ends we come back, at no cost, and look at what happened.

01

Briefing call

No charge

We sit down with you and work out where the problem sits. Sometimes that is a whole marketing function underperforming and nobody is sure why. Sometimes it is one sharp question, a product entering a market where the category does not exist yet. The shape of the engagement follows from this conversation rather than from a template.

02

Scope and proposal

Usually within a week

We go away and design the engagement: what it covers, how we would run it, who is involved on your side, how long it takes, and what it costs. You get one fixed price against a fixed scope before anything starts. If we think the work is not worth doing, or that someone else should do it, that is what the proposal says.

03

Research and strategy

The core of the engagement. Market, competitors, customers, your own position and what the regulation allows, scoped to the question rather than run as a standard audit. We work with your team through it rather than presenting at them at the end. It closes with a written output: the problem, the strategy, and the research behind every recommendation, so the thinking can be re-examined later rather than taken on trust.

04

Handover and sign-off

The strategy gets signed off and the people who have to run it get briefed on how. Most clients keep us on a light retainer while their own team executes, at two to four days a month. Some run it entirely themselves, which is a fine outcome and costs you nothing further. And where the plan needs someone senior to own it rather than advise on it, that becomes a fractional or interim mandate, or in some cases, a mentorship role.

05

The ninety-day review

Included

Ninety days after handover we come back and look at what happened. What is live, what stalled, what the numbers say, and what we would change. This happens whether or not you kept us on, and it is part of the engagement rather than a separate fee.

Step one is free, and nothing is charged until you have seen a scope and a price.

Pricing

YOUR QUESTION SETS THE PRICE

Scope runs from a four-week positioning sprint to a multi-month market entry programme, and any single number we published would be wrong for most of them. So we price each engagement against the question it answers.

The first conversation costs nothing

You describe the problem, we tell you how we would approach it and whether we are the right people. No obligation, and no fee.

One fixed price, agreed before work begins

The proposal names the scope, the timeline and the number. You decide with all three in front of you.

No hourly billing, no change orders for our own scoping mistakes

If we scoped it wrong, that is ours to absorb. If you change what you want, we agree a new number before we do the work.

Implementation support is priced off the same ladder as everything else

Where you keep us on while your team executes, that runs at two to four days a month: EUR 3,200 or EUR 6,400. The same rates as a fractional CMO arrangement, because it is the same kind of work. At four days a month, most clients stop calling it implementation support and start calling it a fractional CMO.

The ninety-day review costs nothing

Included in every engagement, whether or not you kept us on afterwards.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Next step

START WITH THE REAL QUESTION

Most of this work starts with a conversation about what is wrong underneath, which is often not what the brief says. Thirty minutes, at no charge, with one of the two people who would do the work.

And it ends ninety days after handover, when we come back to see whether we were right.
